Writer's Opportunity: Year of Natural Scotland

This role is being supported by Creative Scotland.
We are seeking a skilled individual to work with Susan Christie, seven artists in residence, four partner organisations, Creative Scotland and Artworks Scotland.

The role will encompass:

  • working closely with Curator/Project Advisor, Susan Christie, throughout the process;
  • liaising with the seven resident artists, becoming familiar with their processes, blogs, projects and attend forthcoming events;
  • liaising with the four residency partner organisations - the National Trust for Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage, Forestry Commission and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park;
  • participating in a Reflective Event that involves all artists and partners on 26th June at Battleby in Perthshire;
  • absorbing the discussion on 26th June; assimilating, distilling the issues and points raised;
  • creating a written work that forms a clear and concise encapsulation of the issues discussed by parties;
  • work with other members of the team (photographer, film-maker, designer, Artworks Scotland, Creative Scotland) during the design and print of a document that captures the shared learning across the projects.

There will travel involved and an expenses budget of £200 is provided for this.
We are looking for a writer to begin working this month, hence availability is important.
It is critical that potential applicants are able to begin work later before the end of May.

FEE: £1,050
