Highland Public Art Strategic Framework
Inverness and the Highlands have increasingly been attracting attention for their innovative approaches to art in the public realm. In light of many diverse and imaginative projects (including Re-Imagining the Centre, Sept 09), we now need to harness support and evidence of what has been achieved to date, and develop a co-ordinated approach for the future.

In 2010 The Highland Council sought professional expertise to draw up a Public Art Strategic Framework for the Highlands that reflects this unique context. The process involved drawing upon recent and current projects, identifying strengths and areas of best practice. The strategy will be prepared to inform the Council’s vision for the future.
The final document should support innovation and provide a practical framework to enable future projects in the Highlands to evolve successfully.
The document will be available shortly... watch this space.
